In the field of general mechanical engineering, piston-screw rotary motors of the VDZ series are used. One of the well-know how mechanical engineering companies uses our rotary actuators in their machines for unrolling conveyor belts, as well as for other purposes where a high clock frequency is required. The feasible duration of cycles is from 60 load cycles/minute. This customer attaches great importance to the service life of machine components. Due to the rather complex and at the same time compact design of the equipment, piston-screw rotary motors are mounted in hard-to-reach areas. As a result, it is very important to prevent in every possible way possible disruptions to the work process that may be caused by components (including drives) of machines. An important factor is reliable planning when servicing this equipment, for which our drives are ideally suited.
Our VDZ series drives are used to rotate bathing platforms on yachts. The crew and guests of the yacht have the ability to move the swim platform and, depending on the configuration of the yacht, remove it from the Jet Ski garage located behind it or comfortably enter the water from the folded platform. The specially designed piston screw rotary actuator (rotary actuator) is designed for this type of application and is resistant to corrosive environments such as salt water. In addition, in close cooperation with our customers, we have developed a drive model that is non-standard in terms of design and material characteristics, and adapted it to the application. Rotary drives are also used to control the front rudder or drive units on yachts. A current request from one of our customers to hide the anchor below deck and, if necessary, release it using a folding boom, opens up new ways of using our drives.
