The ASM series rotary actuator has been designed specifically for actuating control elements, gate valves and ball valves. The main feature of the drive is a pressure piston with oppositely cut internal and external threads. This hydraulic piston moves to a correspondingly adjusted output shaft. By simultaneously engaging the piston with the threads connected to the housing, the translational motion of the piston is converted into a net rotational motion of the output shaft. The output shaft is designed for the control unit as an internal square, internal dihedron or tubular shaft with a parallel key. For series production, the actuator is designed for a deflection angle of 90° with fine adjustment of ±5°. Other deflection angles and studded shaft profiles can be supplied upon customer request.
